I've known for awhile that there are wild parrots in Brooklyn's Prospect Park, but was unaware that there was a monk parrot colony in Bay Ridge. They're up by the Dust Bowl.
How strange! My parents left Bay Ridge for retirement in North Carolina last year, and took their 6-year-old Monk Parrot, Nicky, with them. Who knew that he had potential playmates almost right outsdide his door!
