Water Pipe Repair on Fourth Avenue

For the past three weeks, there's been a leak in a water pipe under Fourth Avenue by 69th St. The Bay Ridge Avenue subway station has been a bit of a lagoon during that time. Commuters have had to dodge the "raindrops" when entering the station.

Tonight, a construction crew was hard at work fixing the pipe.(click on photo to enlarge)

Such a mess. I've gotten used to crossing the street now whenever I get on the R train. It's like descending into a mine shaft.

There is still water being pushed up through a manhole cover by 68th and Fourth...the situation has not been fully repaired.

Pretty cool place you've got here. Thank you for it. I like such topics and anything connected to this matter. I would like to read a bit more soon.
