Today, I joined about ten train fans and a few normal commuters on the last M train passing south through lower Manhattan into Brooklyn's Sunset Park, Borough Park, and Bensonhurst.
Here, the last M train pulls out of 36th Street, on the slow chug to Bay Parkway and into history.

I didn't catch the *last* W, but my travels did take me from Wall Street to Astoria last night and I reflected on how much I'll miss that nearly empty, one-seat ride which I do take fairly regularly, and which was my regular commute when I lived in Astoria. I hate the sardine crawl up Lexington and the push-and-shove switch to the N at 59th Street. Oh well. RIP
You should report in your Blog the situation with the B64 that now turns around just short of Coney Island. The logic for this is beyond me. Many Bay Ridge folks used this bus to enjoy a day at the beach, ball game etc.
