Bay Ridge has historically been more conservative than the rest of Brooklyn and New York City, but it’s not as conservative as it used to be. Biden carried Bay Ridge in 2020; but Trump did carry a few blocks, which you see in the specs of red in the block near Shore Road.
Trump had a major campaign rally at the Nassau Coliseum, the other day, where he said that he was going to win New York State. That’s insane talk, Considering that he lost the state last time by about 2 million votes. But the Republicans are competitive in a number of counties in New York State, which is probably the reason for the big rally. To motivate the congressional voters.
I have not seen any Trump or Harris political lawn or window signs near me. . I’ve not discussed politics with any of my neighbors. I think that most people around here don’t like either candidate, and are keeping their opinions to themselves. No one to vote for, only someone to vote against.
Harris will win my neighborhood, but we might see a few more blotches of red on the 2024 map.

Interesting perspective, probably accurate. I'm a one issue voter--I'm voting against the guy who wants to be a dictator, has actually tried to overthrow a legitimate election and who has promised over and over again to not leave if elected again. A million other reasons to vote against him, but the dictatorship mindset is the big one.

There are a lot of people who believe the last election was stolen. If J6 was a real insurrection the capital would have fallen. It didn't because it wasn't. I believe both those things and can give you good debate as to why.
Trump already served as President and during his term not once acted the part of a dictator.
If you are not someone who is based in logic and fact you can believe those things, if you are a person of reason wouldn't. In spite of all the false charges, fake investigations, and a stolen election Trump has never called for strikes, or riots etc.
If you don't like the man than you just don't like him. That is more than acceptable, our host is not big fan of Trump either. You're not alone.
The election is between Constitutional Law, with Capitalism in Trump, or a hybrid of Marxist Tyranny and Fascism with Harris. Everything else is spin.
If however you can make a logical factual argument of his dictatorial tendencies I'd be glad to listen. The floor is yours.
I highly doubt Trump will win the state, even less so the sections of the state that are nestled around NYC. I do believe he will lose it less than the last time by a considerable margin. Cut that 2 million number in half.
