I went into Manhattan this afternoon to pay my respects.
My company has a commemoration every year. The names of the employees who were lost are displayed along the perimeter of the two pools that are in the footprint of the two buildings. The names of our lost people are read aloud, a yellow rose placed by each name.

Sounds beautiful Phantom, what amazed me this year was how fanfare the day got in the country. Very news segments, few social media posts. It seems that people like us who were greatly affected are the only ones taking note.
23 years have passed, so I think it’s a natural that there would be less focus on the anniversaries over time. I think that that 25 year anniversary two years from now will be a major event.
