Did Trump Push a bad deal for Israel?

As I have mentioned on the former site, I listen to the English stream from  Israel News Talk Radio every week.

It is a private opinion station, tilting right.

There is a lot of angry comment on this station at this moment about the truce agreement between Hamas and Israel. I think that more than a few Israeli share this unhappiness.

While everyone is happy To see the Israeli hostages released, there is great anger that  a much larger number of Hamas terrorists  will be released.

In an earlier agreement with Hamas,  Sinwar was released by the Israelis. It is likely that this agreement will see the release of other is just as bad as Sinwar.

Both Biden and Donald Trump are taking credit for making this deal happen. Both of them are believed to have put pressure on Bibi to make it happen. .The  Israeli right tends to support  Donald Trump, but maybe not so much anymore. Some might not like Bibi so much go forward, either.

Listening to Israeli news talk radio right now, where the broadcaster has described the hostage agreement as “a surrender “by Israel. ( “ Israel news talk radio “ , in English, Is available on TuneIn, Apple Podcasts , and other places )

She is saying that Israel is releasing “ a thousand Sinwars “ who will definitely commit other crimes, and that the Israelis are not even certain which of their hostages will be returned ultimately, who are alive and who not, etc.

It's a horrible situation, it is also one the Israeli's engage in on a regular basis. They will give a hundred back just to get one.

Yawn. Who cares?
There are far more Palestinian hostages being held, without any charge or trial.

"Just pick up a few more Ahmets lads as bargaining chips. And anyone who comes out to protest, just shoot him or her dead, right?"

Israeli defence minister today:

"prepare a plan that will allow any resident of Gaza who wishes to leave to do so, to any country willing to receive them. The plan will include exit options via land crossings, as well as special arrangements for departure by sea and air".

So after maintaining a ghetto for refugees ethnically cleansed from Israel decades ago, they now decide it's time to liquidate the ghetto.

But we're not supposed to compare them to the Nazis.

And he continued: "Countries such as Spain, Ireland, Norway, and others, which have falsely accused Israel over its actions in Gaza, are legally obligated to allow Gazans to enter their territory. Their hypocrisy will be exposed if they refuse."

HA HA. Three lies in three lines. But what else can you expect from such a wretch.

Israeli voices have made the comment that forced population transfers happened in Europe In the aftermath of World War II, when ethnic Germans were forcibly removed expelled from Poland, Czechoslovakia, etc. with the full blessing of the UK, France, and the United States.

Which is true, but Trump’s proposal for Gaza remains idiotic, with 0% chance of happening . No thinking president would’ve proposed such a thing. Sycophant Trump media Such as Sean Hannity are praising it as A brilliant and creative proposal.

I support Israel, but I don’t support any proposal that would ultimately get the United States directly involved, in the biggest unsolvable forever war in history.

//Which is true, //

Yes. Nazi Germany had invaded those countries, killed many of their citizens, drove many others from their homes to make way for German settlers, destroyed a great part of the infrastructure and generally treated the people like second-class ethnic groups. Poland, Czech, Russia etc naturally wanted to remove those fifth-columnists to avoid further war.
Surely Israel doesn't want similar punishment for similar crimes.
